Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and what better way to start the day than with some good oatmeal and some fruit? The problem that I have is that there are just not too many healthy recipes for these types of foods. My current favorites would be fresh fruit (fresh strawberries and pineapple are always a hit), fresh cereal, and muffins. The only problem with muffins is that they take a long time to bake, and I don’t have a microwave to help me. Here is how you can create an easy healthy breakfast idea that you will love.

Kids love meal prep so you may want to consider getting them involved. You can make a fruit and cheese omelet for them, which means that you can include things like cottage cheese, whole-grain bread crumbs, and yogurt in their healthy meal prep. This makes a great healthy breakfast choice because you can also add items that you know your kids enjoy. For example, if your child likes tomatoes you could use canned tomato sauce instead of using the tomato sauce from the jar.

Another easy healthy breakfast ideas is either muffins or pancakes. Muffins are a very popular choice for people trying to lose weight because you can eat as many as you want without feeling like you are filling up. There are different types of muffin that you can choose from but I recommend one with whole wheat flour. Some muesli varieties are made with sugar and a lot of unhealthy ingredients. You really need to read the ingredients when you buy muffins to make sure that it is the type of muffin you want to have.

Healthy Pancakes

Pancakes usually contain a lot of unhealthy ingredients such as eggs, butter, and cream. You can sub a couple of these ingredients with your favorite ingredients however. For example, instead of using butter and eggs you could use peanut butter. You can also substitute the milk with almond milk instead of regular milk.

Scramble Eggs

A great and easy meal would be to make some scramble eggs. You can buy a pre-packaged egg dish from your local grocery store, but if you don’t have any you can always scramble your eggs on your own. All you have to do is beat the egg whites with a fork till they are nice and soft then break them into little pieces. You could add some vegetables and cooked meat or eggs and sauteed veggies. When you serve this meal, you should serve it warm. You can add your fruit over the top for an added dessert.

You will want to prep all of your ingredients and place them in a blender. Next add your desired level of protein and mix until smooth.
